This morning, I got up early and took my kayak to the beach. Had an awesome time fighting the (big) waves(high tide at sunrise) on the way out, and catching long, fast rides all the way back in. As usual, part of my time was spent outside the break, bobbing in the swells, talking and singing to God. I thanked him for answering (almost) all of my prayers, and in fact for seeing and trusting Him to get the last few taken care of! In the car on the way home, I was dong my normal battle with lust seeing all the women jogging by the side of the road, asking God where all that comes from, taking authority over it, praying it be gone and asking God when he will take it away.
So out of the blue, God says to me: “Christian, I love you for exactly who you are right now, not for who you are going to be someday. Do you love yourself?”
I replied: “no.”
He said to me: “When you accepted my Son, you overcame the biggest obstacle in the SPIRITUAL world. When you accept YOURSELF, you will overcome the biggest obstacle in your PHYSICAL world.”
I know well the prayer to accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I do not know, and am asking Him to define the prayer or declaration of self-acceptance. I have plenty of ideas, but I need the keys to this to be able to unlock my potential…. you see, already I am STRIVING to USE this concept to make myself better than I AM.
I just don’t get it.
