Guns? Really?

Yes.  Forget about your political correctness.

We live in a great country whose constitution was set up to allow the people to overthrow the government.  It’s called revolution, and it’s what drastically improves the lives of entire nations.  It’s never easy, it’s never pleasant, and it’s always costly.

If we tried that now, we’d be called terrorists.

When the people lose power, freedom goes out the window.

Unfortunately, power is defined ultimately by who can inflict the most severe punishment.  Death ends all arguments.

Edited June 2018:

There are people who cannot understand what I wrote in my original post.  Now that I am going more public with my writings, I need to state three things for the record.

  1. I have two other GUNS posts that make it clear that my position is one of non-violence.  While I have many GREAT OPINIONS about the best way to handle gun laws, no one of consequence has asked me my opinion, and that’s not the purpose of this site anyway.
  2. Revolution is off the table, folks.  I hate to tell you, but we are so badly “out-gunned” by technology and weapons that are available to law-abiding citizens, that it’s a moot point now.  Spend your valuable time on saving souls, not guns.
  3. I’m not anti-gun.  I’m anti-stupid (see my other posts).  I still very much believe in the right for a citizen to protect his home and family from stupid criminals.
  4. I think that freedomgunsandjesus.com is a great title to get people to look and find the real gold–spiritual truths that can transform a nation without hatred, division and violence.
  5. I regret that our nation is so badly hurt and divided on an issue that was meant to empower the populace.  I pray often for the families of victims of stupidity and violence.
