IMPACT

This morning, I had a 10 am appointment to help a brother in Pakistan (7 pm there) make some updates to the website that my ministry provides to support his calling.

He came on Whats App full of joy and excitement. His first words were, “did you remember yesterday”. He speaks English very well for the most part, but it took me a couple questions to figure out if he was asking me, “did I see Charlie Kirk’s memorial service?” He just assumed.

He explained to me how powerful the testimonies out there were, and how they are impacting people in Pakistan, and giving him courage and how he is boldly showing Muslims the video clip or telling them to watch. He explained to me that in the Muslim faith, when someone hurts you, you do not have peace until there is revenge, and usually revenge with multiple intensity of violence.

I sat stunned, as I watched his excitement and enthusiasm. Waqas is a young man who has totally committed his life to teaching the Gospel to children, providing clean water for their families, and bringing encouragement to Christians who are stuck in debt-slavery working in brick-yards–sometimes to the 3rd generation–where young girls are prostituted because of the debt of their grandfather. Two weeks ago, a friend of mine named Adam gave me $200 cash. (I was at a church-based men’s group that meets to fellowship over wings and beer.)

That $200 freed a family of 5 from debt slavery!

Charlie’s death was a tragedy on a human, worldly level, to be sure. In the heavens, it ignited an explosion of courage, joy, hope, and resolve… to answer the call boldly. We as humans know what is right and wrong. The voice of God calls us to join Him in bringing the Kingdom of Heaven to earth, through love, service, and sacrifice.

I am so humbled that God gives us space at His table, in His family. I have brothers and sisters in every part of the world that are united in Holy Spirit, where when one part of the body suffers injury, the entire body rushes to bring relief, and becomes stronger to compensate for that injury.

Last night, the leaders of the government of the United States of America, our democratic REPUBLIC, boldly declared that Jesus is Lord, that God is wanted and needed in our society, in our government and in our personal lives. We got one of the best marriage sermons preached by a woman who gave us the world THE MOST POWERFUL example of what FORGIVENESS looks like. It ushers in blessings to our land that will be unparalleled. I believe we will see a polarization of those who are truly committed to evil from those in the middle, or who choose good. The thinking middle-of-the-road-ers will have to make a choice, or be sucked into the black vortex of hate, judgement, fear, and slavery to evil. Did you ever expect to see so much change so fast? God has broken open the gates of eternal blessing for those who call Jesus Christ their Lord.

Before Charlie’s assassination, I had heard his name but had no idea who he was. As active as I am in politics, informing myself on all things conservative, Godly, and “right”, I was in a bubble, as every one of us are, where we are given enough mind-candy to focus on, keeping us from answering the call on our lives.

Good is starting to triumph in our land. I believe this is truly the beginning of the “Great Harvest”. We know the end of the story. Will each of us put aside all things that get in the way of making an eternal difference, and then commit to meaningful action?

Please consider joining Waqas or someone else who takes bold action in obedience to make our world better by spreading the Gospel, reducing the suffering of the less fortunate or even just laying their life out there on the front-lines in a culture that threatens anyone who believes in Christ. Take meaningful action…. Please.
